Healthy Chocolate Balls Recipe

Prep time: 20 minutes Servings: 10 Categories: Desserts, Snack Cuisines: Western, Middle Eastern

Ingredients

50 g (1.8 oz.) hazelnut butter
100 g (3.5 oz.) dates, pitted

Equals about 8-9 Mazafati dates.

15 g (0.5 oz.) cocoa powder
15 g (0.5 oz.) cocoa nibs
5 g (0.18 oz.) amaranth, puffed

Instructions

Step 1:

In a bowl add dates, hazelnut butter, cocoa powder, and cocoa nibs. Mix with your hands until all ingredients are blended together and a sticky mass forms.

To make it less messy you can also mix it in a food processor.

Step 2:

Form little balls with your hands and put aside. You should be able to make about 20 chocolate balls out of the batter.

Step 3:

Spread out the puffed amaranth on a little plate. Cover the balls by rolling them in the puffed amaranth one by one.
